Simple Solution: Windows Action Center Message - Antispyware and Virus - OFF?

Well i came across this message saying that anti spyware and virus protection were turned off. This happened after updating from windows 8 to windows 8.1

The Windows defender was an easy fix, just had to open the program up and click the turn on button. I then ran a full scan to make sure everything was good.

The anti-virus on the other hand was on saying all shields on, firewall active and that i was protected - see below

How i resolved this problem:

It was very simple really -

1 Right click the avast icon on the bottom.
2 Click settings avast shields control.
3 Click turn of until reboot.
4 Reboot.

Issue solved.
